グラスの下部に施されているカットは、江戸切子の代表的文様「魚子（ななこ）」と呼ばれるもの。この魚子部分が、グラスの口元に向かうにつれて文様が広がるように変化していきます。カットの交差を隙間なく施した文様が魚子であり、交差するカットの間に小さな隙間を持たせることで、別の代表的文様「矢来」文様と移りゆくデザインとなりました。
